PASTOR JEFFREY C. CHAMBLESS

Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church

Jeffrey C. Chambless was born in Rockville Centre, Long Island, NY and raised as a Baptist believer. He was baptized into the body of Christ at the Shiloh Baptist Church of Rockville Centre at the age of 10 under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Morgan M. Days, Jr. He served as a junior trustee, deacon and usher board president.

Jeffrey Chambless relocated to Buffalo, NY to attend Canisius College where he majored in Pre-Law with a minor in Religious Studies. At Canisius he met his future wife, Clarisse Y. Williams (Chambless) and they were blessed with their only child, Camille. Jeffrey and Clarisse were joined together in holy matrimony on Saturday, August 16, 2008. Believing a family that prays, worships and fellowships together stays together, the Lord led Jeffrey to join the Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Buffalo, NY under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Robert E. Baines, Sr., where Clarisse and Camille had been life-long members. He was then set aside to serve on the Deacon Board and shortly thereafter accepted the calling to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Later, being appointed to serve as the Youth Pastor and subsequently called on to act in the capacity of an Interim Pastor, Rev. Chambless gained practical experience in serving the needs of people in the church as well as the community. In furthering his education, Jeffrey attended Erie Community College majoring in police sciences.

On October 12, 2014 the Lord sent him to the Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Buffalo, NY where he currently serves as Pastor. He is a member of the Baptist Ministers Conference of Buffalo NY and Vicinity- where he serves as the recording secretary, a financial officer, and the educational scholarship committee chairman, Chaplain for the Erie County Sheriffs Office, Chaplain at the Erie County Medical Center, Chaplain for the Kaleida Health System, Advisor to the Board of Directors for Teens In Progress (TIP) Community Youth Organization and Regional Committee member for the NYS Department of Health AIDS Institute Faith Communities Project, just to name a few.

As a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Pastor Chambless believes we are all called to be servants for the Lord and he has come to appreciate the blessing in serving because the Lord has given him a heart for His church and His people!
